Reading

This is almost an everyday occurence. He loves pulling out all the books on his bottom shelf and looking at them for about 5 minutes and then he is done...unless I put them back, I think he likes to have to crawl over them to get into his room. He will even go in there when the lights are out and pull them all down! I'm hoping that means he is going to love reading and not just making messes right?!

One year ago...

I can't believe Nash turned one already! It went so fast! We had two low key dinners with both families to celebrate and he was happy! He got to eat cake and sweets and thats all he really cares about!
He is busy, busy, busy! He is always pointing and wanting something, though he's often not sure what exactly.
He's not walking just yet,(thank goodness!) not because he can't but because he refuses to be made to do ANYTHING!and he's chicken :)
He is a great eater, a typical breakfast is a whole belgian waffle, some banana and watered down juice! He will eat pretty much anything but is picky from day to day, something he refused to eat one day he will eat the next.
He loves everyone and thinks everyone loves him. I will be carrying him and if someone stops to talk to us he often just lunges for their arms :) He does have favorites though.
He loves kids, but is a bit of a bully, loves to pull hair and bite and when I reprimand him he usually just laughs.
We love him and the funny, sweet, BUSY boy he is!

I didn't have my camera with me so I just had to get cellphone pictures...the picture of him crying is deceiving because he actually didn't mind his costume at all! He left it on all night and had a blast!

Flagstaff

Our nephew Porter's blessing was on Sunday in Flagstaff so we went up on Friday to go camping. Nash LOVES the outdoors and so far has slept really well whenever we go camping! He is definitely his father's child!

This is the jeep/truck? that Fuz wanted that we saw driving up there... and this is Nash happy to be out of his seat and breathing fresh air while we were trying to get a cell signal!

We all went to the lava tubes on Saturday night...8 kids and 10 adults... it was nice and cold! These are all the family group shots I got down in the cave. I guess Daniel & Abbey's wasn't on my camera!

It was so fun and the weather was so nice! I love being able to wear sweatshirts in June!

Memorial Day

I was tempted to move away after this weekend. We went to Show Low and the weather was perfect. It's crazy to me that we could be in sweatshirts at the end of May! We had so much fun and Nash loved it!


He does close his mouth sometimes...but not too often :)

Diamondbacks

February is over!?!

I know February is a short month, but it seriously seemed to fly by this year! We either had company or were gone for most of the month! It was really fun, and really busy, and Nash got sick for the first time in the midst of all of it. It was so scary! He got croup and he had a fever and had to get a shot etc but he is ok now and we got through it without too much panic!

My sister graduated from nursing school and passed her NCLEX test so she is now officially a nurse! I am so impressed with her for sticking with it and doing so well having four kids and studying like crazy!


We went to Mexico and had lots of fun with Janae and her family, despite all the scary warnings about not going to Mexico right now.

My brother Derin got married and they had a beautiful, fun wedding.



And finally at the end of the month, my old roommate Foush and her husband and baby got to come stay with us while he looks at PT schools, it was so fun!

This is the first time I have been able to get Nash on video laughing, and of course he was cracking up before but by the time I got the camera not as much. He loves his daddy and thinks he is sooo funny all the time.

I'm too (lazy,uncreative,busy,or something) to write much as a post lately but keep getting requests for pictures, so this one is of Nash thinking I'm really funny taking his picture

Blessing Day

We didn't get any good pictures on his blessing day :( (bad mother) but it did happen and he was an angel, no screaming in the microphone and I think this picture of him on his blessing day is great, I love how it accentuates his double chin! :)
